| Speech and Drama (SPDR) - no examination This is a very popular class with all age groups. It is not an examination course and seeks to encourage creativity and fun in order to build confidence and self awareness while developing language skills. Each class involves physical and vocal warm-ups, targeted game-playing, singing, movement and teacher led role-plays. This syllabus still includes all the fun and games of a normal Speech and Drama class. It is a very good choice for students wishing to progress in all ranges of speech performance and also those who wish to broaden and enrich their understanding of literature. Activities include acting and poetry-speaking, story-telling, sight-reading (grade 3 and up), improvisation and discussion with the examiner on the selections including (as the grades advance) relevant aspects of speech theory.
